Construction drawings of No. 2 Dananhu Coal Mine, bidding of CMEC Pakistan Open-pit Mine, construction drawings of Henglong Xiaotagou Open-pit Mine, pre-feasibility study of Beskoy Open-pit Mine of Russia of Shenhua Overseas Company, and a series of time-pressured projects make the Open-pit Institute more busy and tense in spring of 2015, while the bidding projects of the two major open-pit mines of Tianchi Energy pushes this busy and tense situation to a new height.

A new 10 Mt/a open-pit coal mine and a 30 Mt/a open-pit coal mine reconstruction and expansion project, the two preliminary designs of which to be submitted within a month with high quality, with all those tasks, it is not difficult to imagine the pressure. To meet the requirements of the market, we have no choice. It is an old saying that the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from bitter cold. It is impossible for a team to complete all those tasks without fighting spirit.

XIAO Ming overcame all kinds of difficulties when his baby daughter was ill and lived in hospital. He undertook the responsibility of the project manager and still worked overtime every day.

DING Zhijie is in charge of the project of Dananhu No. 2 open-pit coal mine. As the first project in construction drawing stage of the Open-pit Institute, it is the most stressful stage of work. At the same time, he took over the job of bidding project. The difficulty of his work can be imagined.

YAND Zhenkai, BIAN Zhengwei and FANG Xingkui are receiving training of the open pit design software in the daytime, at the same time, they also have night battles for the design project in the hotel room.

This tender is the first real single flight of ZHANG Wenfeng and SUN Ying. In order to make this successful flight, they worked overtime every day until late at night in the last days of bidding. GU Yongfei, Sun Ying’s driver and model son-in-law of the Open-pit Institute, often fell asleep in the office while waiting.

This tender is the first real single flight of ZHAO Chuang and GE Yingzhen. They also make big effort for this project.

SONG zibei is responsible for the report of the tender project. In order to make the report PPT perfect, he talks to himself until late at night in front of the projector, revising and perfecting again and again, and revising it until 3 o’clock in the morning of departure.

Our team has the contributions of young people and the dedication of veteran comrades. When there is an urgent matter at home in Jiangxi Province, Engineer BI only asked for four-day leave including the journey back and forth, then he put themselves into the tense bidding work again.

Engineer TIAN is old but vigorous. In order to check the decision-making of this bidding project and give more guidance and help young engineers, he still worked overtime with young people until one o’clock in the morning, and discussed with young engineers again and again before tender.

There were too many memories in the spring of 2015 in the Open-pit Institute, and the intense bidding work has left a deep impression for all of us. Through this bidding, we could feel our team’s spirit of standing up at the critical moment, daring to shoulder the responsibility, and daring to fight. Such a team is worth embracing the spring and having a bright future.
